to the Missouri Valley Family YMCA...
Located at 1608 N. Washington Street in Bismarck, North Dakota, the Missouri Valley Family YMCA is truly a state-of-the-art facility. Though this particular YMCA has been around since 1967,
it has been totally renovated and extensively added on to. Now it is one of the finest YMCA's in the nation. It features two huge pools, three gyms, two running tracks, an extensive fitness center and aerobic studio, and first rate childcare facilities.
Recently I was asked to create a virtual tour to help show off everything the YMCA has to offer - inside and out. See the results of my efforts on the Missouri Valley Family YMCA's new website:

YMCA Facilities...
- 120,000 sq. ft. on six acres of land
- The 6-lane, 25 yard Kerr Pool includes an accessible water ramp, plus water-proof wheel chair and water temp of 86 degrees.
- The 8-lane, 25 yard Jean Rouzie Pool includes balcony seating, whirlpool, two 1-meter diving boards, electronic 8-lane timing system, and water temperature of 80 degrees.
- 6,500 sq. ft. Life Center Fitness Facility - 31 free weight stations, a full line of Life Fitness Signature Series Strength equipment and Cybex equipment, 10 Life Fitness Cross Trainers with heart rate monitors, 10 Treadmills, 8 exercise bikes, 3 stair steppers, and 6 Cybex Arc Trainers with heart rate monitors.
- 2,700 sq. ft. Fitness Studio - State-of-the-art shock absorption wood floor design, contains the latest fitness equipment for aerobic and fitness classes.
- McDowell Gym - One of the finest "Y" gyms in the USA. The Gym is 104' X 100' which allows for two official size basketball or volleyball courts, with a shock absorption floor.
- YMCA Gym - 6,000 sq. ft. hardwood floor contains one official size basketball court or two basketball and volleyball courts when divided.
- Kids Gym - Hosts youth gym programs and includes indoor play equipment.
- McDowell Gym Track - For teens and adults, has three 3 ft. wide lanes, with 13 laps to the mile, plus a great outside view and special shock surface.
- YMCA Gym Track - 20 lap to the mile, all age, walking/running track.
- 5 racquetball courts
- Co-ed family and special needs locker room has five dressing rooms and three shower/restroom areas with lockers.
- General use Men's/Boy's Aquatic Locker Room and a general use Women's/Girl's Aquatic Locker Room are available. These locker rooms are complete with lockers, showers, and bathroom facilities.
- Men's Locker Room and Women's Locker Room, for those 13 years of age or older, are also available. These locker rooms are complete with lockers, dry saunas, showers, and bathroom facilities.
- Men's and Women's Fitness locker rooms are available to those who are 18 years of age and include a lounge area, private whirlpool, and sauna.
- Tom & Frances Leach Youth Development Center - Serves infants through grade school age children with state-of-the-art childcare, preschool education, and school age child care facilities and services.
- Bismarck Tribune Community Meeting Room - 1,650 sq. ft. meeting room
