The Missouri
River, more than just providing a natural boundary between the
cities of Bismarck and Mandan, greatly adds to the high quality of
life that area residents enjoy. This mighty waterway provides
endless hours of summer recreation: swimming, boating, jet skiing,
fishing, etc. Boating fans find the Missouri River's sandy bottom
and multitude of pristine sandbars especially inviting.
Warning: Be Careful and always wear a life preserver, as the
Missouri's current can be surprising strong at times.
The Missouri River, as it flows through the Bismarck-Mandan area, is
crisscrossed by 4 bridges:
• Grant Marsh Bridge (I-94)
• Memorial Bridge (Main Ave)
• Expressway Bridge (Bismarck Expressway)
• Train Bridge
