Cleverly hidden on 3rd Street S.E. in the city of Mandan, ND - the Fort Lincoln Trolley has been
in operation offering tourists scenic rail excursions to and from historic Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park for over 15 years.
More than a mere shuttle service, the Fort Lincoln Trolley, an 8 bench open trolley car, is authentic railroad at its finest. Enjoy the forested scenery and abundant wildlife along this 9 mile trolley
ride (30 minutes one-way) as it crosses the Heart River over two 1898 steel arched bridges and along the beautiful Missouri River enroute to historic Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park. The trolley departs from the
3rd Street Station daily on-the-hour from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and departs from the State Park Station half-past-each-hour from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM.

The Trolley Car #102 (pictured below) is the same trolley car used for transportation between 4th Street and the State Capitol Building in the
1920's. The car, when found abandoned years later, was rumored to have been
used at one time as a dog kennel of all things. It has since been meticulously restored and put back on the tracks. See it on your way to the park.
